Works In Progress

Over the years I have written a number of books, more than have been published. I have never written a book because a publisher has suggested that I do so; all my books are based on ideas that I have had and submitted to a publisher, with the book largely formed, if not complete. Normally, I work on multiple projects simultaneously, sometimes for many years. The longest running project I have dates from 1986 and will be complete in 2010 and ready to be turned into a book and other media. The books listed below are those that are complete, which will be offered to publishers when it seems appropriate. I have included excerpts from each of these books, an introduction or possibly chapters and a conclusion. As time passes, if there is interest, I may post additional material that relates to each book.

In the case of the photo/story books such as The Golden Age Of Jazz, I plan to post individual photographs and stories on a regular basis until the complete book is available on line. I will follow this with similar projects involving celebrity portraits and other selected subjects.
