Highway 80  -  1989

In 1988 and 1989 I drove many thousands of miles in Louisiana and hundreds more in Texas trying to find illustrations for a new edition of Robert Penn Warren’s novel of love, loss, politics and corruption, All the King’s Men. When I didn’t find what I needed in Louisiana I headed to Texas and filled out the book. I didn’t know it at the time, but some of the pictures I took work very well with my Highway 80 project.
