The Oslo Jazz Festival was inaugurated in 1986 and for the next twenty-five years our production company assisted the festival in providing celebrated artists, many of who were making their first appearance in Oslo. It is endless night in Oslo in the winter but every August the sky is light, the bright night air is filled with the best jazz anywhere on the planet and I was there for twenty-five with my ears open and cameras at the ready to photograph the best of the US and Scandinavian jazz artists.
